Technical support position to provide guidance and support to Quality and Sanitation teams. Ensure GMP, Food Safety, Quality, and Sanitation programs are implemented effectively and efficiently, including SQF and HACCP. Support and coordinate food safety programs with the microbiology lab, including PEM.
Executes the objectives of the quality assurance department.
Supports and help manage micro program which includes product testing and PEM program.
Troubleshoot problems dealing with food safety or quality; ensures proper action is taken per written programs, team member in decisions as to root cause / corrective actions.
Works with Food Safety Manager in managing the C&M program. This involves charts, swab preparation, testing and tracking.
Maintains accuracy of NIR, water activity, moisture, and other analytical equipment.
Trains, schedules, and monitors performance of QA techs.
Assists Microbiologist, FS Manager and/or QA Manager with lab and analytical test supplies.
Supports QA Manager in process improvement testing and process validation activities.
Assists QA Manager in maintaining and updating QA/Lab work instructions/SOP's.
Assists Food Safety Manager, QA Manager, and/or Microbiologist with training programs for QA techs, lab techs, and Sanitation techs.
Assists QA Manager with 3rd party GA and micro testing and data.
Audits QA, Food Safety, Sanitation programs.
Coordinates with other QA Team Leaders to assure consistency across all shifts.
Monitors production to detect and control all non-conforming products and ingredients and keeps QA Manager, FS Manager informed, as well as Production Manager and other departments as needed.
Works with QA Manager, Production, and Maintenance to troubleshoot production non-conformances; ensure root cause / corrective actions are appropriate and are fully implemented.
Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews.
Maintains and improves product quality by evaluating product, company, system, employee performance.
Partner with Food Safety to ensure that manufacturing and raw material specifications exist and are current and enforced, focusing on product quality design.
Oversee Sanitation Crews ? supporting Sanitation techs in work assignment and completion.
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices; train and support techs in monitoring GMP's throughout facility.
Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Assure the QA and Sanitation techs follow required work safety practices. This includes wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
Report any food safety, quality or safety related issues to management immediately.
Other duties as required, to meet business needs.

Education/Training: BS in Science / Food Science / Technical Discipline ? Highly preferred. Knowledge or experience in microbiology, food science, or chemistry. HACCP certification or experience desirable.
Two (2) years Quality Assurance in Food Manufacturing with a portion in a leadership role

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
